Leadership in an e-P@rty

How to be a Social Media Lead?

There is a key skill that you have had to born with; Social by Nature

On the same way that you interact with people in a party, the digital environment should obey the same roles; Content and Engage. In other words; Show something interesting and you will catch people´s attention.

As I detailed on previous posts, Content is the main point to engage an audience. The most important it is not a value content that we think it might be liked; it is the one we know the community is looking for.

Open your eyes and ears! Listen the street trends, look how the community reacts to certain actions, and read some news that might affect your market…

Always keep on mind; Listen and Listen! I am going to explain it with an example; Imagine that you are in a shop and you want to buy a X soup and there isn’t, but you know there are plenty of shops selling the soup you wish…You are waiting for someone to assist you and in your mind you´ve only one thought: “my yummy soup for this freezing day” and none there…you are waiting 15minutes…What would you do?

In the virtual community happens the same, so keep one hour or more of your time to assist your audience, you have to listen their needs and try to solve Ad-hoc clients enquires too.

Positive Feedback vs Negative Feedback and the impact they have upon our subconscious mind as individual is strong, but in a virtual community we can squeeze these two effects and they can become
the best strength for a successful strategy.  Conclusion; learn from either positive or negative feedback

Holding hands with a PR agency it will help you to make a social buzz!

Why is so important the investigation? Simple! Investigation is evolution. In our case we are focused on Social Media, therefore we will surf for searching the top “Trend Social Tools”, the ones that my community uses the most.

Yes, we are very close to be a Social Media Lead! Just don’t forget… Create engage, Be Quick to respond, Take care of the Community, Keep attention to your Language and the most important…
                        Be yourself; Social by Nature!!

Note; If you are still using the traditional Advertising and you are thinking about movig to Social Media, have a look at this video that will help you to combine both techniques.
