Are the 4 marketing P´s suffering changes, are they becoming the
4 marketing C´s?
Coming back
to the past in where the conventional marketing drove its effort to achieve its
target through the 4 marketing P´s (Product, Price, Promotion and Place), nowdays we look ahead and we should teach
to the future marketing students of the digital generation a new concept; The 4 Marketing C´s.
A student
will think about “Why should I pay attention
to the Product when creating a precious content I can drive people to my product?"
The main
goal of Product, Price, Promotion and Place, well known as Marketing Mix was
under the rules of satisfying a target or achieving a target. Today we see that
we can get a target as long as we are obeying the new rules for the digital marketing era.
What is the
meaning of the 4 marketing c´s?
It is as
simple as Creative+ Clear+ Content+ Consumer
Now I am
going to explain the reason why I think it is crucial the 4 c´s for the online
marketing;
A website
is your company face and probably the road your customer chooses to buy your products, so your website has to be Clear to read.
A
successful website you don’t measure for the traffic you get, a web is measured
for the quality of traffic you obtain. Having that on mind, Content is crucial.
People searches
for something they are looking for or some information that could solve their
doubts, so…A suited Content to your
audience’s need it is vital.
Now imagine
you attend to a party, and two of the people there are wearing the same dress as
you are…Will you highlight in that party?... Be Creative
to catch the people eyes. Remember
that your “company dress” will be your website
Think about who is going to make your sales grow! Keep attention on the Consumer, satisfy their real needs, find the way and words they use
to communicate with others, what social media they usually use, etc…

Good point of view! Merging both theories, 4P's and 4C's. I personally think that in the digital era we are living, it is most important the 4C's, the consumer (myself) is the target of the marketing and this is the most valuable thing to take in account when developing a marketing strategy. You are doing a great job with this blog. Keep it up!
